Maisy Card is a writer and a public librarian. Her debut novel, These Ghosts are Family, was shortlisted for The Center For Fiction's First Novel Prize and the PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel. Her writing has appeared in The Paris Review Daily, Lenny Letter, AGNI, New York Times, Guernica and other publications. Maisy was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, but was raised in Queens, New York. She earned an MFA from Brooklyn College, an MLIS from Rutgers University and a BA in English and American Studies from Wesleyan University. She is currently an instructor for the Sackett Street Writers' Workshop and a fiction editor for The Brooklyn Rail. |
